In this way, we serve as part of the broader evangelization that proclaims God's care for all his children and the Church's special responsibility for the "poor, persecuted, and stranger". The goals of AJAPO are to break the cycle ofpoverty, nurture the immigrant population for civic responsibilities, promote diversity, community assimilation, cultural understanding and social justice in communities.
